A few words about
What We Do
Our projects
Aspire To Be Network operates four main modules targeting JHS, SHS, Tertiary and University students and graduates in Ghana
Standard Module
We onboard all participants regardless of their level onto career development, self-knowledge, and awareness programme
Introducing participants to what building a career entails, why career development is essential, and the benefits they stand to gain for consciously planning their career trajectory. In addition, the self-knowledge and self-awareness component introduces participants to personality tests, how to align personality to career goals, and its influence on career decisions and paths.
Junior High School (JHS) Module
For Participants in junior high levels of education, we build on the Standard Module by introducing participants to options post junior high school
We give an overview of Ghana’s senior high school system and helps participants choose senior high school courses that align with their career aspirations. Additionally, the module takes participants through personal development training during vacations and the waiting period after completing junior high school. Students learn to build essential skills, engage in productive extra-curricular activities, and gain from mentorship.
Senior High School (SHS) Module
Participants in the SHS Module includes graduates from the JHS and students of the senior high, technical and vocational institutions.
The module guides participants through options post-SHS and gives them an overview of tertiary education. Furthermore, we educate participants on tertiary courses and institutions that support their career aspirations, preparing them for potential setbacks such as failing to pass final examinations and securing preferred admissions. Participants who choose to establish businesses get entrepreneurship training and business coaching. This module takes pupils through personal development training during vacation and the waiting period after completing senior high school. While under mentorship, they get lessons on essential skills, introduced to the internship concept, short-term employments, volunteering, and opportunities they offer.
Tertiary Module
The Tertiary Module admits participants from the SHS Module and tertiary students who have not been on the program
The module introduces participants to early planning for the job market in Ghana, and they get lessons on job market readiness. The importance of academic progress and the need to complete coursework is critical. The module further prepares participants for employment by exposing them to employee expectations, identifying gaps in the job market, finding job opportunities, preparing for job interviews, factors to consider in accepting job offers and building continuous professional development. The module also introduces participants to prepare for potential setbacks in employment and running a business.
